SMYRNA (WATE) - East Tennessee soldiers with the Tennessee National Guard's 253rd Military Police Company are returning home Monday night from service in Iraq.

More than 50 soldiers will land at the National Guard Volunteer Training Site in Smyrna around 8:00 p.m. and spend the night before out-processing on Tuesday.

They'll travel to their home stations after they're done.

Officials say the rest of the company is scheduled to return to Tennessee in spring 2011.

The soldiers are part of the 170-person company that mobilized in March.

They're returning ahead of schedule as part of the time-line for less than More >
